To Lose 5KG became Fattening by 5kg

Due to whatever reasons ( i also dunno), i have gradually gained 5kgs instead of losing the final 5kg to reach my ideal weight.. huhuh..... now i have to lose 10 kg in order to reach my ideal weight. Thinking a lot lately, but does that add to the kilos? I donno....

One thing for sure is i must start shredding the kilos, 10kgs is a lot!!! Help!!!

Thanks to Janice, Store Manager at Clarins Parkson KLCC, I was invited to their launch party at Alexis, Gardens for a beauty session introducing their latest range of hyration products.

And thanks to Beetrice, i found some pictures so that i am not uploading similar pictures but link to her blog. She has done an extensive coverage of the new products.

At my session, Erin shared some slides on importance of hydration and how Clarins new range can help to retain water in the skin. There were skin test on our hydration level, demo on the hydration mask and how to apply mask effectively via a paper mask.

Door gifts includes a travel size HydraQuench mask(15ml) worth RM27 and a complimentary facial treatment 'Hydration from Madagascar' worth RM135. As i managed to answer a question on what is their famous products since the 1950s(the massage oil; Anti Eau, Tonic, Relax), i received an additional Hand and Nail Cream(30ml).

Female July 2009 Challenge -Lose 5kgs in 5 weeks

Would like to take up Female's July 2009 challenge in quest to lose 5kgs in 5 weeks. Have been losing 10 kgs for the past one year and since then the weight is stagnant. Will try up the new ideas shared by Female and hope to be able to reach my ideal weight by end of the year.

Thanks Female for the sharings and adding on 'Signature Experiences' for me as your loyal readers. And also motivated by the beautiful people participating in the Butterfly Project. Hope to enter the project next year. Same time now, i will organise my own Butterfly Project and see myself transformed into a healthier and trimmer me...:)

Playing time with my girls

Back to hometown, spend more time playing with my jewels. Our games? just balls. Found two balls at home so we went to Ah-mah's garden and play catching balls, kicking balls and basically just having fun together.

Initially Elly just let the ball rolled to her hands and she was scared to grab and catch it. Later when she see how i did it, she learnt the skills. Now she can catch the ball!

Also took a stroll in the village and Elly joined the 'kampong'(village) boys and girls in a game of 'chopping ball' fun. Being the smallest there, she said she was ignored by the kakak' and 'abang' , but nevertheless, she did enjoyed herself very much.

Planned to walk to the end of the village to see the sea, but the area was locked, looked like is a private area. Elly wanted to go there because she mentioned about the lion dance there during CNY this year. Hope the area is open again in CNY next year.

Opportunity Cost

So much to do and so little time. Wonders how come some people says they are bored because nothing to do. To me, there are so much to do, to see, to taste, to experience i hope that i can buy some time as i buy vouchers for friends. So that i can get my family and friends buy me some TIME vouchers.

Gatherings, team building, movie outings, warehouse sales and shopping sales, learning Mandarin, etc etc. Given choice, i really wanna go and experience and achieve my goals on all above, but with the standard 24 hours a day, guess i have to play with little economics- call opportunity cost. A ittle gain here is a little lose somewhere else, simple principle.

huhuuu.. Have to make some wise choices which is hard, most of the times. hmm... wiser wiser..

Jogging in the Park

Yesterday was the first time i jog in the park this year. The feeling was so good, seem like ages since i last jog in the park. The beautiful scenery, the lake in the middle of the jogging track, the small fountains and basically the nature made me realise so nice to be able to balance work and life. Will arrange my time and workplan so that can have more weekdays jogging in the park.

With my plan of exercising 3 times in the gym during lunch at gym in my office, and perhaps one/twice jogging in the park, i will reach my ideal weight soon, by end of year, i hope. And Female July 2009 also features on losing 5kgs in 5 weeks..sounds interesting. Let me see their plan and see whether i can follow it.

Dome Vouchers

I shared earlier that DOME promised to send over some vouchers as 'compensation' to the member fees that we paid and the membership has been revoked(Melium Group change some business strategy). I received them. Got alltogether 7 vouchers, 6 on beverages and one on the chocolate cake. Love the cake so much! Yay yay! Looking forward my next trip to DOME and enjoy some complimentary drinks.

En Shahril, the Customer Service Manager sent me a short note, wishing me Happy Birthday and there is a letter too with DOME letterhead. just so sweet to receive that. Birthday Wish-Reach Ideal Weight

Made a wish on my birthday this. To reach my ideal weight. I know sounds ridiculous, but want to prove that with hard work and perseverence can achieve it. Now weighing 60.6kg, increased 2kg due to exams stress lately, with burning midnight oil and late supper.

Will update how i am progressing as writing down what is in mind will make us nearer to the goal. is it true? I dont know so want to prove it.

Done 40 minutes gym today on biking and strength ball. Yesterday went to garden with lake for briskwalking. Will be more aware and careful on food intake. Had oat and Tesco chocolate drink for lunch and Gardenia chocolate bread for breakfast. Chewing gums when not eating so i dont stuff snacks into my mouth.

Hope by Xmas this year can reach my ideal weight of 53 kg. Wish me luck

Scary Week 2

As the scare of Elly is not enough, Emmy, my younger girl is diagnosed with HFM(hand, foot and mouth disease). As it is contagious, so we have to separate the girls. Emmy had ulcers in her mouth and some rashes on her palms. She had mild fever on and off.

With some antibiotics and rests given, Emmy has recovered. Being a Mom is really a permanent job, and the scares is every now and then. Honour to all Moms who have manage to bring up their kids. And thanks to my Mom for all the sacrifices all this while. Experiencing this scary week make me realised that materials are not at all significant when there is a health threat to the family.

Scary week

Elly had swollen and bleeding gum for the past 1 week plus, so decided to bring her to see dentist after seeing a general doctor shown no signs of improvement. The dentist, Dr Sum explained that he seldom had 'serious' cases like this and suggested that i bring Elly for blood test. and shared that he had one patient whom had similar symptom and later diagnosed with leukimia(blood cancer).

My heart almost dropped when i hear that though is only mentioned as worse case scenario. Little do i want my lil girl to be associated with such disease. So after paid him and get some gargle solution(which i think is not of much help), we quickly went back to Dr Leong & Ho's clinic to get a panel doctor's referral to Pantai Hospital for a thorough blood test.

The doctor on duty was Dr Leong and he was the opposite of Dr Sum and looked calm and asked me not to worry, saying that it wont be leukimia after checking Elly's and asking a few questions and checked her lymph nodes all over her body. However, as I insisted that i want a blood test, he did one immediately and we need to wait 10 minutes for the result.

The 10 minutes was like 10 years(well, i am exaggerating here..) but the worry and pain of thinking my lil girl having leukimia was just too much. Perhaps i was too paranoid, and Sky was calm and even can go and buy some Twiggies for us to eat. And Elly was extremely obedient when Dr Leong took some blood from her, she did not cry at all. Perhaps she has Sugus strawberry sweets in both her hands.

After the '10 years wait', Dr Leong called us into his room and shared the result. He was teasing Elly and calling her 'Pretty Elly', since Elly was initially friendly and bubbly talking to the doctor. Phew, i was sooooooooooo relieved when Dr Leong shared that Elly's white blood count was normal, and no signs of leukimia at all. But she is a little anaemic, thus the Thalasemia test will only be known after one week. As I myself is a Thalasemia carrier, so she might inherit my genes.

Thank God that Elly is not diagnosed with leukimia. It all happened like less than one hour but thinking back if the blood test was positive, I wont be sitting here and updating this blog now. I just like getting a wake up call that God asked me to appreciate people around me now.

Elly was just having scurvy, lack of Vitamin C illness as she dislike vegetables and my Mom seldom feed her fruits like oranges and bananas with scare of phlegm for small kids. Being put on Vitamin C supplement and with a oral aid given, Elly is much better now.

DOME Coffee

Sky and I loved Dome coffees and the food there. So last year, we paid RM30 and became the Dome member. With each purchase then can get Bean points. But Feb this year, received letter from Dome that they are stopping the loyalty programme. By April 2009, I returned the card to Dome Midvalley while dining there.

It was promised that we will get the reimbursement of the RM30 by end April. But now is already June, so i wrote a letter to Dome Coffee(Melium Group). En Shahril, the Customer Relationship manager from Dome was prompt in giving me a response and promised to follow up on this matter.

Yesterday i received a call from him, mentioning that he has checked my case and apparently that the Midvalley's Dome did not submit back my card to the head office. Am happy with his good customer service and as i shared with him that i planned to have my birthday in DOME since with purchase above RM200, can get a complimentary DOME cake. He promised to send me some DOME vouchers so that i can still enjoy my birthday in DOME.

I am glad to Melium Group and Dome Coffee for letting me to enjoy good coffee in DOME for my birthday celebration. and personally, thanks to En Shahril for his good service.

She saw my comments for Vonvon in her website to purchase the Bronze Smokey eye set, and she emailed me to ask me whether i want the Sapphire set. Alas, that Vonvon had sold hers, so i am glad that Emily contacted me. And the manufacturing date was Sept 2008, so i can still keep it untouch for some time before usage..:) Look too nice for me to even make some swatches.

Thank to my colleague, Mdm Ee, I received my first birthday pressie for this year. Cool! 5 days in advance of my birthday this Sunday. It falls on Father's Day this year so we are gonna celebrate together with my dad, Sky and hey, it's my dad's birthday too! Just too cool...

Its a nice small bouquet with one stalk of Zebra in orange color and a cute Teddy bear. Shall take a photo of it tomorrow as I left it in the office.

I have known Mdm Ee for 10 years. First met when i was a scholar and she handled the scholars for Maybank. And now, after 10 years, we became colleagues, and she just sat next to me.

Thanks Mdm Ee for the guidance, for bringing me to the clinic when i had diarhoea while training back in 1999, and now being a good listener and colleague.

Time really flies. and phew.. my MBA exams was over. Just completed my 3rd semester with exams completed - Marketing, Operations Management and Strategy Management. Exams was quite good this round and can answer quite good, perhaps due to exposure in projects at work.

Now till 1 August will be 'merdeka' for me. will have more time for catching up with friends, movies, blogging and update photos. Next semester will be taking Project Management and E-commerce. Supposed to take also Research Methods and Disaster Management, but opt to postpone since projects at work are also entering new phase. Missed graduation as same time as classmates but think its just another opportunity cost that i have to juggle.

Not gonna blog so much abt it, will update other interesting stuffs instead.

I always love June. Its Fathers' day month, and most important my birthday month. Always take the time-off to do some self-reflection and plans to realise my dreams. Well, perhaps they are not that significant, i always believe in making plans and we will get them done.

Found out my top strengths from Gallup's Strength finder. I am a Developer, Maximizer, Achiever, Learner, Positivity. wow, looking at my strengths based on the assessment do marvel me. Think now its clearer that my career decision has sent me to the right track. I always believe in the people potential and now working directly in this area, give me the opportunity to help myself and others to excel and exceed personal standards.

And as i age, i am also looking into beauty and fashion and supplement so that i am able to age gracefully. Happy Birthday Christina, and good news is that its on Sunday+Father's Day and i am sharing my dad's birthday. We are gonna party!

Of the 3 step, i like the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion the best and you can see that i have use half the bottle already. As for toner, i feel some 'tingling' sensation whenever i use it so i seldom pat it on my face. As for cleanser, it is the same texture as Neutrogena which i am currently using and can get from pharmacy, usually keep for trip back in Malacca as they are in mini size.

I especially like the mini size 3 step and the logo 'C' , just like my name, 'C' for Christina..:)

The prestige salon is now opened in Pavilion. Thanks to the timely arrival of the hair care products. Given me time to contemplate whether to chop off my hair or keep them long.

I went to Isetan @ Gardens Midvalley to make some change in the Stila products. Those are the ones manufactured in 2005 and 2006. They are

For Stila fans, please check the manufacturing dates of your items, especially those buying in bulk. If you are buying from Gardens Isetan, Joanne is willing to collect back them as rejected item and you will be given Isetan voucher/letter worth of the rejected items value.

Item 5 was only RM30 but it was billed RM50, so altogether i got back Isetan voucher worth RM200. It will last for 3 months. Will be using them for Isetan sales in mid May 2009.

Thanks to Joanne for being kind to let me to change the rejected items. She would be transferred to RMK Pavilion. Now that Miu has informed that Stila has changed 'hands', hope that there is another company willing to sell Stila in Malaysia.

Stila Buys Part 3

Contouring Trio, famous for use to sculpt/shape the face, to make it beautiful, ie slimmer face, sharper nose, higher cheekbone, 'not-so-round' face. Learn to master the skills via Youtube and Hoola! its a beautiful new pretty lady. It comes in 3 shades, a guide and magnetic booklet form. And the large mirror is simply marvellous to make touch-up on the go.

Similar to Stila's loose powder, this Illuminating Treatment Powder comes with a slides-on brush on the cover. As its name, it has shimmers with the powder, making skin glow and radiant. And the icy cooling effect upon applying this powder onto the face is just as refreshing.

Fondana eyeshadow, in green and brown is a nice eyeshadow color. Stila's E/S are all very smooth and easy to glide on the skin and they simply last longer. Illuminating tinted moisturiser is useful for some light makeup as it comes with some shimmers to brighten the face. Finally got a Kajal eyeliner in 'Tiger' aka brown but the manufacturing date was 2005! sigh sigh.. hai... got what i wanted but the date has since expired. Need to bring back to Stila to change.

Went to Midvalley during the weekend and there was the Nutrition and Health fair. Managed to do some blood tests for cholesterol and glucose level. Both are normal, cholesterol is 4.9 and glucose was 3.8. Blood pressure was low. Recommendation: Exercise more to maintain the BMI within healthy level (below 25)

Had a meet up with Peiyun at Midvalley. We had spaghetti since there was promotion on the spaghetti, off 50% . Ordered creamy sauce spaghetti, sambal udang spaghetti and black pepper lamb spaghetti. yummy~Quality was maintained although there was a 50% off normal price. I think the promotion is still valid for the month of April and while stock lasts each nite.

Got some samples from Loccitane and Biotherm.

From Biotherm, it is the 3-step(Cleanse, Tone and Moisturise) sachets came in a beautiful mini folder. It is a whitening regime. Will blog more once i try it.

For Loccitane, received the Immortelle's Eye Balm 1ml and 5 Essential Oils conditioner 8ml. Have tried both. The eye balm has creamy texture, protecting the eye's area from fine lines and crow's feet. As for the conditioner, it smells good with the essence of the aromatherapy oils leaving my hair soft and nice.

SK II DermDefinition Essence Film

I had the opportunity to try the latest SK II's product, Derm Definition Essence Film. Thought that i can get the sample and use it at home with my own mask, but the sales lady mentioned that the demo with the essence film must be done at the SKII counter.

So instead of trying the essence film on my spots on the face, i tried it on my right hand, making me felt my precious hand after the 15 minute treatment. Well, because my right hand was 'rich' with SKII essence, serum and moisturisers ..:) Miraculously, just like the 'Miracle water', the film melted under the SKII mask after 15 minutes leaving my skin soft and supple. Until now, i can feel the softness. The 'power' of the essence film is equivalent to 7 drops of DermDefinition serum, making it a very concentrated 'cure' to lighten spots.

Various steps were included with various usage of SKII products which would be summarised in the photo I managed to capture from its official site. Enjoy and head towards the nearest SKII counters to have a feel of this latest product.

This long 80 episodes drama sure will teach us some important lessons in life, in relationships, in getting what we want and the methods used to achieve them. TYB dramas is a good source as life teacher. Besides entertainment, it teach us or rather awake us that certain things in life are more important than $$$, status, materials.

Sometimes we are so focus on certain goals that we lost focus of the bigger picture, of what really matters most to us. We live life once and therefore must make sure that we live life to the fullest, not how long we live our life in term of years, but how FULL we live our life on a daily basis.

When was the last time we have a pet, when was the last time we help people in need, when was the last time we took a break and pamper ourselves? Sometimes we are just on automatic gear and forget to stop and ponder about how we can be better. Personal development is important and is a journey which everyone should embark on.

Lets take a break and ponder on our 'Gem of life'. I am sure we can find many...:)

MBA First Semester Results Are Out!

Received sms late last night that the MBA 1st semester results were out. With mixed feelings, i login to my portal and check the results. Oh... i was so relieved to view that i passed all 3 subjects. I was so happy.

Remembered my professor saying that as long as we managed to 'survived' the first semester, the coming ones we are surely able to manage with ease. Semester 2 will start soon on 27th July, and gonna collect the syllabus and manual this weekend in the university.

Will gonna learn about HR, Accounting & Finance and Economics in Sem. 2. Will check whether can get the HR course exempted with my recent HR certification. Late nights will be common as the TMAs need to be submitted by 30th August.

What's New in 2008

Looking back, it was a while since my last post which was in Oct 2007! Since then, life is on the fast wheels for me. Everyday is live to the fullest, though always occupied but it is worthwhile. Took the HR professional certification in Oct 07 and just completed in mid April 2008. Almost at the same time, I started my MBA in Jan 08 and now is the revision period for exam in mid June.

With 5 assignments for the HR cert and 6 for the MBA, aside work and quality time for my girls, most time spent on these assignments. Really learnt a lot during the process. However, time mgmt was a bit bad and I hope to improve in the next semester so that i wont suffer the last minute rush like now.

At work, the project almost come to the end, with some enhancement and finetuning here and there. This is the first time involve in such a big scale project. Learning curve is aplenty during project period. Now I understand how some consultants prefer to work in projects and not support as there are always new discovery every now and then. But i am the stable type and though I dont mind working in projects, i prefer support, so that I have more time to spend with my darlings.

So fast, almost half of 2008 is gone, looking back, this year much time is spent on academic and project at work, its time to slow down and smell the roses along the journey. Will plan some time for some 'ME' time going to spa, massage and just daydreaming.... cannot remember the last time i have the time to daydream...

Fewer updates on the girls. I have took up a 6 months course on Human Resource Mgmt certification. Need to attend classes every Wednesday. Took up the challenge since it is sponsored by my Company.

Also, recently catching the HK drama 'The Drive of Life', 60 episodes. Well, juggling working and taking care the girls, sneaking time to watch the drama is not easy. Compared to 'childless' time, can easily complete the drama in 2 weeks. Now i wonder how long it will take me..:)

Build up a new passion on Aromatherapy. Learning more about it and how it can benefit health and genereal well-being. Bought some Lavender oil to relax and destress.. I just love the energy after sniffing the oil.

Also on a 4 weeks detox. My detox is all back to natural food. Eat as normal and exclude all meat and dairy products and starch from my diet. Eat more fruits, vegetables and tofu products. Have been strictly on this diet for 2.5 weeks. Benefits? Bowel movement more regular, feel lighter, less tired and lighter. Think i have reduce abt 2 kg so far.

Lately i have this question in mind: To send or not to send Elly to nursery when she reach 2 1/2 years old. Well, there are pro and con to it. Or shall i hire a full-time maid at home to look after the girls?

Or shall i 'let-go' of my career and stay-home to take care the girls? Always feel that the girls need the most attention especially during the toddler years. Research has proven that children with good family support during the toddler years are more stable emotionally.

Aside high IQ which is so in demand nowadays, high EQ and SQ(Social intelligence) are equal important. While the former is much easier to achieve, need to emphasize on how can achieve the latter while bringing up the girls.

4 Week Detox

Thanks to my sis-in-law for the Detox Book by Michelle Cook, i am now on a 4 week detox aiming at better health and to lose weight.

Now on my 3rd day of the detox, feeling great and less bloated. Bowel movement is better. Basic things to follow, all back to natural, and no starch and no meat and no dairy products during the 4 weeks.

One good thing is it allows for 'once in a while' treat of meat, and anything that i feel like eating. Need it though as will be attending a best friend wedding in early Nov. Other than that, will stick to this vege and fruits regimen.

It's a Beautiful day

Today is Monday, the start of the working week again. Arrghhh, this is the beginning of the struggle again. Anyway, would make the best of my Monday, as it is the start, a good start will make a good ending.

Will be On leave on Friday, so thinking from the bright side, am only working for 4 days this week. Gosh, a lot need to be achieve, and with a strong mind and determination, i believe i can do it.

Attended a training session recently, Touched abt personality. I am the strong Sanguine type(details check it out at http://www.oneishy.com/personality/). Bluntly said, i am the type born to be a 'fickle-minded' person. And the good news is this type is the 'cheerful' type. So what the heck, as long i am a happy person!

Fasting month

Today is the first day for the Muslims to start fasting for one month. Time to be more considerate and thoughful especially when eating so as not to eat in front of them.

And the best part is there will be many food stalls in the evening selling various types of delicacies which are only available during this month.

Hmm. i know i am contradicting with myself. One moment say want to diet, the next is talking about food. But hey, what the heck, i want to achieve both, although this means will take longer time for me to see the diet result, and life is suppose to be enjoyable, not suffering huh?

Growth on my Right Jaw

Yesterday, suddenly i felt some pain on my right jaw. When i ran my finger on the jaw, there was a lump as big as a kidney bean on it. Oh Gosh, hope it is not something malignant! Recently there are a few people that i know has been diagnosed having cancer in different parts of the body. And ill-thoughts have then start filling my brain...

What if it it cancerous?
Oh No, i have two small and lovely girls
I have not been to Taiwan yet
I am still in my twenties and there are so much more to achieve
etc
etc

Praying hard that mine is not [touch wood..touch wood] cancerous.

Attachment

In our life, there are so much of attachment. To detach from the things that we love is not easy.However, in order to live a simple and happy life, i have learnt to detach. Especially material items and friendship that is not going to blossom anymore. To clap we need two hands, and trying to clap with one hand is a futile effort.

As SIRIM officers are coming to my workplace for an audit, i took the opportunity to 'clean' and 'detach' all the unnecessary items on my desk. Gone to the shredder, ABBA file and into the drawer. Hmmm.. i wonder whether i will open and look at the things again...

Colonoscopy

Performed a colonoscopy to examine on my chronic constipation. Found the cause of my IBS(irregular bowel system); due to my 'longer than normal' large intestines. Doc said that due to this, my intestines can 'keep stock' up to a week, compared to the 'normal stock' of 2 days.

Colonoscopy is the endoscopic examination of the large colon and the distal part of the small bowel with a CCD camera or a fiber optic camera on a flexible tube passed through the anus. It may provide a visual diagnosis (e.g. ulceration, polyps) and grants the opportunity for biopsy or removal of suspected lesions.

Anyway, was relieved as it did not show any peculiarity or growth that will eventually turn malignant. Was given RM 400++ worth of medicines to 'normalize' my bowel system which is called as 'Lazy Bowel System'.

Signs of Aging?

Lately my memory seems to deteriorate. Perhaps it is the sign of aging , or the effects of the epideural that i used during my labor? Oh my, i am only in my twenties years 'young', just feel the sign is too early.

Am thinking how to improve my memory skills. Play sudoku, mahjong or pop some ginkgo into my mouth?

Fitness and Lifestyle

After become a 2nd time Mommy, somehow or rather fitness seems very important to me. It has become something of top priority in my life. Because i want to live to 80 years 'young'(instead of old) and see my girls grow up, graduate, work, get married and have children so i can become a grandnanny...:)

Try to make it a point to exercise 20 min 4 times a week. With the gym at my workplace now being open during lunch break, there is more 'space' for me to squeeze time to exercise. And the good news is that the Management is planning to add another 15 exercise machines. Oh... I am more than motivated!

Detoxification

Have not been engaging in comping(enter contests) since Emmy joined the family. Recently, i was reading a health magazine and there was an article on detoxification . Thought of trying the product and since it came with a contest, i filled in the details to try my luck.

Forgot about the contest until i received a letter saying that i had won a RM148 hamper on the detox products. Great! Just came at the right time as i planned to buy that product next week.

Eye-brow embroidery

(Nice brow. huh! Marvellous thing it does for me although wearing no traces of makeup as in this pic)

This is taken after i have done eyebrow embroidery, a newer technology then my mom's generation of 'tattoo-like' eyebrow which looks very fake.

Cost me RM 250, but since i had been 'craving' for one since i was pregnant with Elly, and then thought 'Hey, what the heck, Just Do It!' and saves me time on drawing and 'perfecting' my fine and almost invisible eyebrow.

The process of embroidery or simply said, putting the 'paint' into the skin took about 20 minutes. Some friends who have done it say it was very painful but still do it for the sake of beauty. Funny but for me, i dont quite feel the pain. Maybe as a Mommy now, there is no 'pain' like labor pain and I survived!

Mommy's Club

More and more of my friends have been 'promoted' to become 'Mommy', the highest post, with lowest/no pay in the world. If we can measure the kind of work a Mommy does, we shall earn more than a CEO pay! And yet, most of us not only manage to take care of the infants, the home and spend 8-10 waking hours in the office working.

Wow.. when i think back all the things that we can do, it amaze me. So fret not friends, the next time you have a bad hair day, at office or at home, simply because 'Mothers are simply great'! A little mishaps here and there are acceptable.

After reading sharings by Nicole, yeap, i agree, race for 'material' possession does not matter anymore. A smile, a hug or a cheer from the lil' ones makes us happier then striking the lottery.

The World Is Flat

Am reading a book titled 'The World Is Flat' by Thomas Friedman. It's really a good book i recommend for those who want to know more about what is happening to our world, flatten by new discoveries and technologies.

How India and China has wake up from 'sleeping' and boost the economy, how incident of 119 (fall of Berlin wall) and 911(fall of WTC) has changed the world and etc etc

And now i can communicate with all of you regardless of where you are, even as far as Timbuktu! So lucky to live in this era and i begin to imagine the world of tomorrow where my girls will live in, with more new insights and changes.

Instilling more sense of Appreciation

I am not the type of person who can ‘sweet-talk’. To me, perhaps due to upbringing and some traits in me, I always feel that no need to show ‘appreciation so often’, the other party will know and feel the ‘goodness’ if it is the truth.

But now I realized how a little ‘appreciation’ will go a long way. Not only it will brighten someone’s day when we show our expression, it make ourselves feel good too.

So, will try to let more people that know me how much I appreciate them. And if you know me and is more than an acquaintance, let me tell you that I appreciate having you in my life too!

4 glasses of water

Japanese practises drinking 4 glasses of water first thing in the morning. This new habit will cure many sicknesses and as for me, according to the findings, keeping the habit for 10 days consequently will cure my constipation problem.

I am in my 4th day and my constipation or IBS(Irregular Bowel Syndrome) – a new term that I read in a book, seems to get better. Hopefully by the 10th day, it’s all back to normal, and normal means everyday.

Merdeka

In less than a month, it's my country 50th anniversary of independence. We called it 'Merdeka'(independent). Bought a mini flag for Elly and will share with her more about Merdeka. Might be too young for her to understand the true meaning..:)
